Top 10 Mozzilla Firefox Extensions / Addons to improve your productivity

Add-ons are small pieces of software that can add new features or tiny tweaks to your Mozzilla Firefox. They can add new search engines or dictionaries in other languages, change the look of Mozzilla Firefox with a new theme, or much more. Take a look around and see what add-ons can do for you.

1. Customize Google

CustomizeGoogle is a Mozzilla Firefox extension that enhance Google search results by adding extra information (like links to Yahoo, Ask.com, MSN etc) and removing unwanted information (like ads and spam). All features are optional and easily configured.

2. Gspace

This extension allows you to use your Gmail Space (2.8 GB and growing) for file storage. It acts as an online drive, so you can upload files from your hard drive and access them from every Internet capable system. The interface will make your Gmail account look like a FTP host.
After the installation, you'll get an option called "Gspace" in your "Tools" menu, which opens the GSpace window.

It's great for storing/sharing files with your friends. Also very good to backup photos and music files (as you can view/listen to them from Gspace).

4. Greasemonkey + Stylish + Ad blocking per Gozer

Allows you to customize the way a webpage displays using small bits of JavaScript.
Hundreds of scripts, for a wide variety of poular sites, are already available at http://userscripts.org.

5. Flashblock

Flashblock is an extension for the Mozzilla Firefox, and Netscape browsers that takes a pessimistic approach to dealing with Macromedia Flash content on a webpage and blocks ALL Flash content from loading. It then leaves placeholders on the webpage that allow you to click to download and then view the Flash content.

Flashblock currently blocks the following content types:
* Macromedia Flash
* Macromedia Shockwave
* Macromedia Authorware

6. Download Statusbar

View and manage downloads from a tidy statusbar - without the download window getting in the way of your web browsing.
Despite its compact size, Download Statusbar packs in more useful features than the standard download window. The fully customizable interface auto-hides when not in use, allowing full control without interruption.

7. URL Fixer

URL Fixer corrects typos in URLs that you enter in the address bar. For example, if you type google.con, it will correct it to google.com (asking first, if you enable confirmation).
This version will correct common misspellings of .com, .net, .org, .edu, .gov, and .mil, as well as the protocol (http:, https:). It will also correct errors in country code TLDS such as .com.XX, .net.XX, and .org.XX. By right-clicking on the address bar, you can set it to auto-correct your errors, or you can have it ask you before making any corrections.
I am aware that there are similar extensions out there, mainly URLSpell and Firefix. As far as I can tell, URLSpell is completely non-functional, and Firefix only alerts you of possible corrections after a page fails to load, using an extra HTTP request to retrieve its corrections suggestions. URL Fixer's corrections are immediate and will save you time if you make a common typing error.

8. Tab Mix Plus

Tab Mix Plus enhances Firefox's tab browsing capabilities. It includes such features as duplicating tabs, controlling tab focus, tab clicking options, undo closed tabs and windows, plus much more. It also includes a full-featured session manager with crash recovery that can save and restore combinations of opened tabs and windows.

9. Scrapbook

ScrapBook is a Mozzilla Firefox extension, which helps you to save Web pages and easily manage collections. Key features are lightness, speed, accuracy and multi-language support. Major features are:

10. IE Tab
